- The chance to connect with top-tier researchers from various sub-fields was very much appreciated!
- I enjoyed the winter school and I would highly recommend it. I learned so much that would help me in my research going forward. I connected with so many people that I will hopefully collaborate with in future and that was quite exciting to me.
- I met people who share similar research interests and absolutely loved sharing ideas over the week. I would def consider reaching out to them for related topics and keeping in touch to maybe collaborate in the future.
- I had so much fun during the social activities. A good way to know each other and engage with other participants.
- Presentations were really impressive. Lot of details and every speaker made the effort to make their research accessible.

- Having such a narrow focus of topic with world class speakers attending is an extremely good concept and made ALPS stand out compared to other research schools I have attended (those had a much broader focus e.g. “Deep Learning”). Proximity to the mountains is another (non-scientific) plus and justifies the great name.
- The multiple mini poster sessions. allowed each person to understand and explain their work clearly without information ovrelaod.
- Best speakers and attendees. It was very nice to exchange ideas and realise that there are a lot of like-minded people
- I really enjoyed this Winter school ; the lectures and speakers were great and available, the nature activities organized by Laurent awesome, I think you managed to find a very good balance between scientific activities and free time, the organization was really well done and everything made easy for the participants. Would definitly recommend
- Meeting a lot of great people (speakers and attendees), and discussing about advanced topics in NLP, in opposition to other more surface level summer school
- I really liked the poster sessions and other activities (birds of a feather, nature activities and lunch times), where we could get to know each other’s topics, discuss about scientific subjects and know each other more personnally
- BoF and Karaoke were amazing! The place is great and nature activities, awesome 🙂 best winter school I have been!
