Venue

The winter school will take place at Centre Paul Langevin, a charming resort in Aussois, at the heart of the Vanoise, a massif of the French Alps. It is located at 1500m, is frequently used for scientific events and allows for a large number of nature activities both with and without snow.

Access: We will arrange shuttle services from Grenoble for the participants on the 31st of March (day before the start of the conference) departing at 5 pm from Grenoble train station, with a return to Grenoble on the 5th April (departure after lunch, arrival at 4 pm at Grenoble train station). Please note that it would fairly difficult to reach Aussois on your own if you choose to do so (due to Aussois being not well-served by public transportation).

Travelling to Grenoble: Grenoble is well connected to French main cities through train or bus. If you travel by plane, we recommend you to fly to Lyon Saint-Exupéry or Geneva airport, both of these airports have direct bus connections to Grenoble. Lyon airport also has a direct train connection to Grenoble.

Physical address of the conference venue: Centre CNRS Paul Langevin, 24 rue du Coin, 73300 Aussois. Modane is the closest train station to the conference venue (11km away). If you cannot take the shuttle or want to get there on your own:
